Caitlin LoCascio-King
Attorney
caitlin@locascioking.com
Long before becoming an attorney, Caitlin spent years working in elder care, Alzheimer’s/dementia care and hospice settings. Those experiences gave her a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by aging adults and their families and ultimately inspired her to focus her legal practice in these areas. Since opening the firm in 2011, she has helped individuals, families and business owners navigate important life and legacy decisions with clarity, compassion and practice guidance.
A graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, Caitlin was awarded the Pro Bono Publico Award and gained early experience through Legal Services for the Elderly, the United States Attorney’s Office, and legal research published in both the American Bankruptcy Review and Loyola Law Journal. Prior to founding her firm, she practiced with a mid-sized law firm in central Maine, completed contract work for firms throughout New England and served as a law clerk at Unum.
Caitlin is admitted to practice before the Maine State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Maine, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. She has served as Chair of the Small & Solo Practice Section of the Maine State Bar Association and held presidential appointments to several American Bar Association entities, including the Women Rainmakers Board, Attorney Well-Being Committee and Standing Committee on Continuing Legal Education.
A sought-after speaker and educator, Caitlin regularly presents on elder law, estate planning, law practice management and attorney wellness at conferences and continuing legal education programs nationwide and across the globe. She has been recognized by the Katahdin Counsel Regnition Program since its inception and was named Rising Star by Super Lawyers annually for ten years.
Caitlin lives in Scarborough with her husband, children, and the family’s hound-mis rescues and a collection of beloved barn cats.

We worked with Caitlin and her team in support of our mother’s estate planning and they were great to work with. As this was a new space for us, they worked with us to clearly understand the processes and then were able to move forward quickly to get all required documents in place. We also found them very reasonable in their rates. We definitely recommend LoCascio-King Law.

I’ve had wills drafted by different law firms in different states where I’ve resided, but Caitlin stands out for her attention to my needs and her attention to detail. At our initial meeting her questions anticipated what I would want. Her experience in estate planning was clear. She followed up on every item. That gave me complete confidence in her and in her staff. I strongly recommend her for estate planning and elder law.
